Hygienalia 2023 already set to be 10% bigger than last time

With seven months to go before it opens, the outlook for the professional hygiene and cleaning event, set to take place at the IFEMA exhibition venue in Madrid from 7th to 9th November, continues to improve.

Organised by Feria Valencia, the fair is once again being promoted by the associations of manufacturers of cleaning products and machinery, ASFEL and AEFEMIL.

Valencia, 3th May 2023.- The outlook for Hygienalia 2023 is good. With six months still to go before opening day, the sixth edition of the Professional Hygiene and Cleaning Fair, Hygienalia, which takes place from 7th to 9th November at the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid, has already exceeded the amount of space booked for its last edition. Hygienalia’s Organising Committee noted in its latest meeting that the specialist trade fair already has 11.38% more exhibition space booked, in fact, that for its last edition.

The organisers have signalled their positive expectations for this year’s event following the success of the fair’s most recent edition, in 2021, when the professional cleaning and hygiene products and systems sector and the machinery and technology sector exhibited together, the latter with the support of trade association AEFIMIL. This last edition hosted the offering of a hundred Spanish and international exhibitors and 6000 visiting professionals, whilst occupying more than 4000 square metres, gross, of exhibition space.

One of the main new features for this upcoming edition in November will be the change of venue: the last edition was held at the Casa de Campo in Madrid, whilst Hygienalia 2023 is being held at the IFEMA exhibition centre, also in Madrid. A scenario of evolution and change to which the industry seems to have responded positively.

The Organising Committee

Accordingly, Hygienalia’s Organising Committee reviewed the outlook for the upcoming edition of the fair when it met at Feria Valencia last Thursday, 20th April. The business associations and other entities involved in organising the fair also attended the meeting.

The Committee met with the presidents of the two associations that drive the event also present: Juan Carlos Cebriá of the Asociación de Fabricantes Españoles de Productos de Limpieza e Higiene (ASFEL, Association of Spanish Manufacturers of Cleaning and Hygiene Products) and Antonio Albesa, of the Asociación Española de Fabricantes e Importadores de Maquinaria Industrial y Limpieza (AEFIMIL, Spanish Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Industrial and Cleaning Machinery). Also attending were representatives of ARVET (Agrupación de Empresas Exportadoras Españolas, Spanish Exporters Association) and the fair’s director, Esther Cano.
