Valencia, 2 July 2025.- Hygienalia, Spain’s cleaning and hygiene trade fair par excellence, which takes place from 4th to 6th November at the Ifema Madrid exhibition centre, is set to give its international development a boost.  Hygienalia is in this regard a top showcase for all the new products and innovations coming out of a sector of industry that is making decisive moves to develop its international trade.

With support from official organisations such as the Generalitat Valenciana, IVACE + i Internacional and ICEX and coordination by trade ASFEL, Hygienalia 2025 will be welcoming several inbound missions of buyers and opinion leaders (the press) from almost 20 of the exhibitors’ key markets.

Several missions organised for professional buyers are already full, with participants coming from countries such as France, Germany, Romania, Portugal, Ireland, Serbia, Poland, Morocco and Algeria, amongst other markets that are also priority targets for Spain’s professional cleaning and hygiene industry.

What is more the event, which is organised by Feria Valencia, is also sparking interest amongst the top European media specialising in this industry. In response to this interest, a guest visitor mission is being arranged for international opinion leaders from some of the most prestigious titles in a number of countries including Germany and Italy. The group of trade journalists coming to Hygienalia this November will see the exhibitors’ full offering and latest products at first hand, gaining a clear insight into the potential of ‘made in Spain’.

Return of the ‘B2B Meetings’

On another front, Hygienalia will be hosting ‘B2B Meetings’ again, an initiative that was introduced for the first time in 2015. Promoted by the Association of Spanish Manufacturers of Cleaning and Hygiene Products, ASFEL, the programme sets up working meetings between Hygienalia 2025 exhibitors and international buyers at no cost to either party.

To participate, both exhibitors and visitors need to register on this dedicated online platform, through which they can contact other Spanish and foreign companies and send and receive meeting requests. Once a request has been accepted, a schedule is generated in line with the commercial interests of each participant.

The registration process is simple and manging the meetings via the online platform minimizes the time and effort required of participants. Also, the meetings will take place on the exhibitors’ stands so the exhibitors do not need to move away and are thus able to attend to all the visitors to their stands.

Since their inception these meetings have been a key tool for fostering commercial connections and business opportunities in the cleaning and hygiene sector because they enable exhibitors to meet potential customers, increase their brand visibility and establish strategic relationships with international buyers. More than 200 meetings between exhibitors and buyers from more than 20 countries took place at the last edition of the fair.

The ‘B2B Meetings’ are coordinated by ASFEL through IVACE + i internacional and are one aspect of the services offered by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), one of the leading support networks for European SMEs as regards their efforts to innovate and compete in the international arena. The EEN includes more than 600 member associations in more than 60 countries, including chambers of commerce, technology centres and business development agencies. In Spain, the network is represented by multiple regional consortia that offer customized services to local businesses.
